Electro Neuro Feedback: adaptive electrotherapy and tissue feedback
ENF means Electro Neuro Feedback. The technology combines two main components: a surface EMG-like detection, useful for reading skin impedance, and an adaptive electrotherapy system that delivers alternating current at low frequencies.
The key principle is feedback: the device receives information from the tissues through the electrodes and continuously modifies the emission, creating a constant dialogue between technology and the patient's response.
According to the manufacturer, this dialogue occurs multiple times per second according to a negative feedback loop principle, aiming to transmit a stimulus to the tissues that is consistent with their capacity for reception.
